Having rooted in Hong Kong for nearly forty years, the renowned Happy Cake Shop and Shun King Tea Restaurant closed its doors last year on Queen's Road East, Wan Chai, causing much nostalgia and sadness. To preserve the cherished flavors, a group of longtime neighbors who have grown up with the two old shops decided to open a new cha chaan teng, Happy Cafe, on Luard Road in Causeway Bay, using 100% locally sourced ingredients and traditional techniques while infusing new creative elements and classic dishes from both shops, passing on the unique Hong Kong-style flavor and a daily wish for happiness and prosperity to its customers.
